Talent Acquisition Consultant Australian Community Media have been bringing news to our rural and regional communities for more than 150 years, as our business continues to evolve, by introducing new technologies and doing things differently, we can make our newspapers and websites even better than they have ever been. An opportunity has become available in the People & Culture team based in our Sydney office for a Talent Acquisition Consultant. This role is focused on providing support to the wider business, working closely with our team and also spending time liaising with our candidates, offering superior customer service and talent-related assistance. You will be organised and have exceptional communication skills. You will need to be self-motivated, self-managing with an eye for detail and have the ability to work at pace. This is a great role with loads of scope. Additional responsibilities of this role will include, but not limited to: Work in conjunction with Hiring Managers to understand their needs in order to identify superior talent (through drafting advertisements, screening, reference checking, etc) Be the SuperUser for our online recruitment system (Snaphire) and manage the online candidate database proficiently and accurately and conduct system training to new HR team members Liaising with Snaphire regarding any system-related matters Handle multiple job requisitions simultaneously and independently Recruitment administration (including assisting with screening as required) Assist with the hiring process; actively engage with managers, provide ongoing updates of the status of requisitions, advise and influence managers throughout the hiring process, and close requisitions in a timely manner Ensure the candidate experience is being adhered to Conduct active and passive sourcing via social recruiting, networking, job postings, etc. To be successful in this role, you will require: 3+ years recruitment experience, including active and passive sourcing methods Exceptional communication skills (written, oral and negotiation) The ability to manage multiple (often conflicting) priorities An autonomous and strong work ethic.
