Projects Specialist, Talent Acquisition Due to recent team movement, an opportunity has arisen for a Talent Acquisition Project Specialist to join the Talent Acquisition team at Deakin. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, this role is responsible for scoping and leading projects that enhance the TA experience and recruitment outcomes in line with industry best practice. With a key focus on increasing the Diversity and Inclusion of the University’s workforce, this role will partner with the Diversity and Inclusion Division to undertake activity identified in the divisional plans. The successful candidate in this role will have the following skills and experience: Extensive experience in developing and implementing contemporary HR strategies, practices, policies and procedures. Demonstrated experience in providing excellence in project delivery with a thorough understanding of end to end recruitment and onboarding practices. Proven experience in developing and implementing significant workplace initiatives within a complex organisation to support the achievement of improved performance and cultural change. Demonstrated experience in managing cross functional projects in complex environments. Proven capability to work positively and effectively as part of a collaborative work team, to accommodate and work well with different working styles and to work independently where required. High level report writing, research, project management and time management skills, including managing competing priorities. Highly developed interpersonal, communication, presentation, consulting, and negotiation skills. Intermediate/Advanced computer literacy skills, including use of Microsoft Office suite, with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. A keen interest in improving the employment outcomes for under-represented groups including but not limited to people with disabilities, people from diverse cultural or linguistic backgrounds, LGBTIQ+, and ensuring gender equity. This role will suit a Talent Acquisition professional that has a pragmatic approach, who is able to adopt a flexible outlook to managing projects in a complex & matrixed environment.
